A Joint Venture Agreement between Ecowan Investment Limited, Nigeria and ATC Fluviale GMBH Shipping of Germany and Global Ethic Investment SRL, Italy in September, 2014 gave rise to Global Ethics Integrated Shipping Services Limited (GEISS). GEISS was incorporated in Nigeria in March, 2015. The joint venture agreement (JVA) is for a period of 10 years.
The partnership was formed with the aim of transporting Nigerian crude oil and wet petroleum products with Nigerian flagship for NNPC to foreign companies in export countries (Europe, Asia, South America and Africa), and the transhipment of cargoes for indigenous oil and gas companies within Nigeria and West Africa.
The foreign partners would provide four (4) vessels of 73,000 metric tonnes (MT) each for crude oil transportation.
Our offices are in Lagos, Warri, Calabar and Port Harcourt for operational purposes and one office in Abuja for administrative work. To strengthen our capacity and efficiency in Nigeria, GEISS entered into partnership with SIS Global Resources, a multinational company incorporated in Nigeria in 2010 which would provide logistics support for local content.
The registration of the vessels and all necessary licences with the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) and Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) for effective operations within Nigeria and international waters have been acquired.
We have four sister vessels of 73,000 MT Each.
