Portable Gas Detectors:

A new addition to SOLAS Chapter XI-1 requiring all ships to carry portable gas detectors for monitoring enclosed spaces, has recently been made mandatory. The new rules enter force within the next 18 months and many existing detectors and systems may not be compliant making your next detector renewal / replacement critical.
